Storm alert issued for Kazakhstan throughout Thursday
Storm alert was issued for 15 regions of Kazakhstan on October 10, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Kazhydromet.
Rain and snow mixed are predicted to batter North Kazakhstan. High wind gusting 23-28 m/s is reported to roll through the region.
The greater part of Kazakhstan is set to face rains, while the country’s southwest is forecast to brace for heavy downpours. Weather without precipitation is expected in the southeast, east and central part of Kazakhstan.
The fire threat remains high in Pavlodar, Akmola, Abai, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Ulytau, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Mangistau, North Kazakhstan, and Kyzylorda regions locally.
The extremely high fire hazard is in place in Atyrau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan, Ulytau, Turkistan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Abai, Zhetysu, Almaty regions.
