Storm alert in effect as fog, ice-slick and snowstorms grip Kazakhstan

Storm alert was issued for 16 regions of Kazakhstan and Astana on March 2, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
Fog is expected to blanket Astana, Almaty and Shymkent cities.
Rain is forecast to batter Shymkent.
Abai, Akmola, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, Zhetysu, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, North Kazakhstan, Ulytau regions are also set to face foggy conditions on Sunday.
As written before, mets issued a storm alert since fog and snow are forecast to grip Kazakhstan on the first day of spring.
