Steppe fire swept through 2,000 ha

ASTANA. KAZINFORM A steppe fire broke out Thursday morning in the South Kazakhstan region. It was contained late at night and brought under control early Friday morning, the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry said.
55 members of the staff, 5 units of fire extinguishing service equipment, 115 local people and 19 vehicles were involved in firefighting efforts. No victims were reported.
