Steppe Eagle tactical peacekeeping drills start on Monday in Almaty region – Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. August 9. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ A preparation stage of Steppe Eagle special tactical peacekeeping drills starts on Monday in Almaty region. The militaries from the USA and Britain also take part in it, the press-office of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan informs.

The drills are to take place at the Iliysky training center in Almaty region. Kazakh peacemaking brigade Kazbrig and battalion Kazbat along with the personnel of the U.S. Army and British Armed Forces will work out tactics of peacekeeping forces.

At the time of today foreign participants of the drills are arriving in Kazakhstan and tenting in the camp. More than 1, 000 people are to take part in the exercises.
