State Awards Commission under Kazakh President held sitting in Akorda

ASTANA. December 6. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has chaired a regular session of the State Awards Commission under the Kazakh President. Among those recommended for award are also foreigners

Welcoming the participants K. Saudabayev said: "The peculiarity of today's meeting is that it is held four days after the OSCE Summit in Astana", K. Saudabayev said.

"Hosting the Summit of the OSCE participating states after 11-year pause is a bright example of recognition of Kazakhstan's impressive achievements by the global community. It is recognition of our success in socio-economic and public-political development, the success of our President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who could bring all 56 participating countries to consensus".

"By tradition, on the eve of the Independence Day we should recommend our compatriots who contributed to development of Kazakhstan for awarding", he said. According to him, among these people are representatives of science, culture, social sphere, agrarian sector, law-enforcement bodies, veterans of war and labor as well militaries.

Besides, this list includes the people who made a contribution to preparation and organization of the OSCE Summit including foreign figures,

The decision on award is adopted by the Head of State on the threshold of Independence Day.
