Spanish Prime Minister to pay official visit to Astana

ASTANA. June 13. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ Prime Minister of Spain Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero will pay a state visit to Astana on June 16-17. Official spokesman of Kazakh Foreign Ministry Askar Abdrakhmanov made it public at a briefing in Astana.
Mr. Zapatero is expected to hold a number of meetings with Kazakh top officials.
"The sides will discuss the ways of developing strategic relations in various spheres of cooperation. Representatives of big Spanish companies are planning to attend the ministerial meeting in order to give additional impulse to the trade-economic relations," Abdrakhmanov said.
A package of bilateral documents and commercial agreements is planned to be signed.
