Speaking at the start of a Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that the concert, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, is expected to draw a significant number of foreign visitors. He noted the event will serve as an opportunity to showcase South Korea’s cultural and artistic excellence, as well as its tourism appeal.

Kim revealed that some 260,000 people had attended the Gwanghwamun concert in March and that the country anticipated a similarly large turnout in Busan.

He urged the culture ministry, the interior ministry and other agencies to work closely with local governments to manage crowds effectively.

The Busan concert is a part of BTS’s world tour, which began in April following the group’s highly anticipated comeback. The tour spans 85 concerts across 34 cities worldwide and will continue until March 2027.

Earlier, it was reported that hotel reservations made by foreign tourists in the southeastern port city of Busan had surged ahead of BTS’s concert.
