South Korea eager to help Kazakhstan prep EXPO-2017 event

ASTANA. October 2. KAZINFORM South Korean companies willing to be a part of the preparations for the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 are coming to Kazakhstan.

Ambassador of South Korea Pek Chuhen made it public at the reception on the occasion of Republic of Korea's National Foundation Day in Astana on Wednesday.

"More and more Korean companies that are eager to participate in the preparations for the EXPO-2017 event are coming to Kazakhstan. I believe that cooperation in the sphere of innovation technologies between the two countries is in tune with the theme of the exhibition "Energy of the future"," the Korean diplomat said.

In his words, South Korea is keen to share its experience in holding of the EXPO-2012 event in Yeosu. "The EXPO-2017 event will make Kazakhstan an internationally renowned tourism destination," he noted.

The South Korean envoy also stressed that diplomatic ties between Kazakhstan and South Korea have been developing in the atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding since the very establishment in 1992.

"South Korea and Kazakhstan, as strategic partners, continue to strengthen cooperation in all spheres," he added.
