Sokolov-Sarbai Mining and Processing Production installs modern environmental equipment

The installations for oil wastes thermal disposal will reduce to a minimum harmful emissions into the environment. The units are called "Factor-1M" and were purchased under the investment program of the enterprise.

There are identified spaces of the units' location. One unit will be transported to Kurzhunkul Mining Group, the second - to ore preparation and enrichment factory and the third will be used in the machinery and repair plant.

"It is the first equipment of that kind in SSGPO, explained Elena Karabatova, the commissioner for Environmental Management. Before oiled sawdust, rags and other flammable wastes were stored in a special 200-liter tanks. But at present time owing to modern units we can dispose wastes. The new equipment's high environmental effect is achieved at the expense of the original design. As a result, the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases is minimized".

The new equipment is very compact which allows it to fit in almost any convenient location. The productivity of the equipment is 60-80 kg / hour. At present scientists started designing "Factor-1M" model. At the same time there are training sessions for workers who are responsible for functioning of the equipment.

As stated by Mukhamedzhan Turdahunov, the president of "SSGPO" JSC, total expenses for environment protecting equipment over the past year exceeded KZT 9 billion (tenge).
