Snowstorm shuts down highways in Aktobe, East Kazakhstan regions

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - East Kazakhstan and Aktobe officials report highways in the regions are closed due to snowstorm and poor visibility.
Kazinform has learnt from the Kazakh Ministry of International Affairs that Ust-Kamenogorsk-Shemonaikha highway linking East Kazakhstan region with the Russian Federation was shut down due to bad weather conditions. Samara-Shymkent, Aktobe-Astrakhan, Aktobe-Orsk, Aktobe-Orenburg, Kandyagash-Emba-Shalkar-Irgiz, and Karabutak-Komsomol highways were closed for the same reason.
