SME's contribution to national GDP to go up to 40% by 2020 - Kazakh PM
ASTANA. June 7. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Contribution of small and medium businesses to the country's GDP must be 40 percent by 2020. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov said it at the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana on Tuesday.
"We want to increase the contribution of small and medium businesses up to 40 percent of GDP by the end of the decade. To achieve this goal we are improving education, reducing the administrative burden on business and making more free access to elite resources," Massimov said.
According to him, today more than a third of Kazakhstan's GDP comes from business. Over three million people work in this sphere.
"We are confident that in the 21st century it is important to be open to new ideas, new influences, and create a society where everyone can develop equally," the Premier of Kazakhstan emphasized.
