Small girl hurt in explosion at kindergarten in Komsomolsk-on-Amur

KHABAROVSK. August 2. KAZINFORM A small girl was hurt when an unidentified home-made explosive device went off at a kindergarten in the Russian Far Eastern city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, a spokesman for the local interior department said on Tuesday; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
According to the spokesman, the blast occurred early of Tuesday at the kindergarten's porch. "A box with the explosive device was tied by a blue sticky tape and a ribbon. As a result, a girl who had lifted the box was hospitalized with eye burns," the spokesman said.
An investigation is underway.
