Slovakian Honorable Consulate opened in Kurchatov

As Slovak Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kazakhstan Dushan Podgorski noted, Kurchatov was elected not by accident: works on study and development of atom for peaceful purposes are held here. The National Nuclear Center was opened in Kurchatov by the Decree of the Kazakh President as well. Besides, Kurchatov's location is very convenient - the city is located between East and North Kazakhstan regions connecting them.

Director General of the National Nuclear Center Kairat Kadyrzhanov was appointed Honorary Council of Slovakia to Kazakhstan. He has closely cooperated with the representatives of Slovakia for a long time, took part in the development of joint scientific projects.

The Councilor district includes East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions.

At the opening ceremony the representatives of two countries assured each other in support and strengthening of friendly, partnership relations.
