Slovak parliamentary elections kick off

Bratislava. June 12. KAZINFORM The parliamentary elections of Slovakia kicked off Saturday morning; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Voting started at 7 a.m. local time (0500 GMT) and will conclude at 10 p.m.(2000 GMT), with some 4.3 million eligible voters to cast their votes.
A total of 18 political parties are competing for the 150-member legislative body for the next four years.
Some 2,000 policemen have been deployed on the streets to secure law and order during the vote.
