Shymkent fatal air crash court hearing starts

SHYMKENT. KAZINFORM A court hearing into the An-72 of the Kazakh Frontier Service plane case has started in Shymkent. The plane crashed on December 25, 2012 near Shymkent claiming the lives of 27 people, including 7 crew members, our correspondent reports.
The person on trial is Kanat Akilbekov, a commute operator of the Shymkent affiliate of Kazaeronavigation. The investigation found him guilty of the tragedy. He has been placed under house arrest since last December.
Akilbekov is indicted under Article 295, part 3 of the Kazakh Criminal Code.
