Shukeyev visits Polyethylene Pipe Plant in Atyrau

The plant was put into operation in 2003 at the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The facility was built due to the investments of Chevron Munaigaz Inc. Originally, the estimated capacity of the plant was 6.8 thousand tons of polyethylene pipes with diameters of 32-630 mm per year. In the following years the plant increased its capacity up to 12 thousand tons of pipes per year. U. Shukeyev expressed particular interest in setting up cooperation between the plant and foreign customers. Last year the plant exported 750 tons of pipes to different countries.
