Severe thunderstorms hit Austria

VIENNA. August 14. KAZINFORM Severe thunderstorms and stormy winds battered the western regions of Austria on Saturday, Austrian media reported, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
The thunderstorm front passed from the South to the North of the country. The storm caused traffic obstructions by fallen trees; public transport in Vienna had been completely paralyzed by 00.45 Moscow time, but it is now restored.
The windflaws topped up to 60 kilometers per hour. The severe meteorological conditions had suspended the Vienna's Schwechat airport operations for an hour, 20 flights have been redirected to additional airports, Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru
