Senators approve a bill on raising taxes on personal property
ASTANA. November 14. KAZINFORM - Today the Senate deputies, the Parliament of Kazakhstan, have approved the first reading of the draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of taxation", which contains provisions to increase taxes on housing, vehicles, and staged, from 2014 to 2016, excise taxes on liquor and tobacco.
Committee on Finance and Budget instructed to prepare the draft law for the second reading.
However, as indicated in the report of the Senate Committee on the presented bill, increase of vehicle tax will affect passenger cars whose engine capacity exceeds 3 million cubic sentimeters, and manufactured in the Republic of Kazakhstan after December 31, 2013, or imported into the country after that date.
