Senate Vice Speaker meets with Indian delegation
ASTANA. September 25. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Vice Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakhstan Parliament Mukhambet Kopeyev has met with the delegation from India taking part in the V General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties.
The sides discussed the issues of further strengthening of Kazakh-Indian cooperation, particularly at the parliamentary level.
M. Kopeyev said that the January visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to India gave additional impulse to the development of relations between the two states.
Head of the Indian delegation - representative of the working committee of the Indian National Congress Anil Shastri thanked the Government of Kazakhstan and Nur Otan People's Democratic Party for holding of that important meeting. According to him, enhancement of bilateral relations with Kazakhstan is a priority direction in India's external policy.
