Senate Vice Speaker M. Kopeyev: Development of oil and chemical production requires large number of highly trained specialists

KAZINFORM /Andrey Sokolov/ Yesterday Vice Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Mukhambet Kopeyev met with the students and teaching staff of the Atyrau Oil and Gas Institute for clarifying the main provisions of the President's Address to the Nation New Decade - New Economic Growth - New Opportunities of Kazakhstan as of January 29, 2010.
Development of oil and gas as well as chemical production must become a primary goal for Atyrau oblast within realization of the tasks outlined by the President in his message, M. Kopeyev said. These are further expansion of oil output at Tengiz deposit, acceleration of implementation of the project on exploration of the Caspian shelf as well as reconstruction of Atyrau Oil Refinery and construction of the first integrated petrochemical complex in Kazakhstan.
"Development of oil and chemical production requires large number of highly-qualified specialists. Therefore both secondary schools and universities must start training staff in this sphere since after launch of new enterprises we may feel lack of highly-educated specialists in this sector", M. Kopeyev said.
