Senate Vice-Speaker invites Belgian business to participate in EXPO-2017
ASTANA. August 26. KAZINFORM - Deputy President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Ishchanov has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Kazakhstan Daniel Bertrand, says the press service of the Kazakh Senate.
Vice-Speaker of the Senate noted the significant contribution of Mr.Bertran to the development of Kazakh-Belgian relations.
Kazakh-Belgian diplomatic relations have been for more than 20 years. During this period it was possible to establish a regular political dialogue. It is an important component of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, said Mr. Ischanov.
In the parliaments of both countries there are friendship groups. Vice-Speaker expressed confidence that extra boost to inter-parliamentary dialogue will be given by the Belgian deputies who are going to visit Kazakhstan this fall, and will be led by the head of the Friendship Group "Belgium-Kazakhstan" Mr De Croo.
"Deputies of the Parliament of Kazakhstan intend not only to strengthen bilateral cooperation with their Belgian colleagues, but also to develop multilateral relations in international inter-parliamentary associations, such as the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE, NATO and the Council of Europe", said K.Ischanov.
During the talks the two parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. K.Ischanov invited the representatives of the Belgian companies to take part in the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana.
