Senate Speaker met with Brazilian Ambassador
ASTANA. January 17. KAZINFORM Chairman of Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Ambassador of Brazil Frederico S. Duque Estrada Meyer due to termination of his mission in our country on Monday, the press service of the House reported.
K.Tokayev thanked the Diplomat for his contribution to strengthening the bilateral relations between the two states.
"Kazakhstan and Brazil enjoy partnership relations based on mutual understanding and trust. State visits of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Brazil were of special importance for defining the priorities of the bilateral cooperation", the Speaker said.
According to him, activation of parliamentary contacts between the countries could be an important element of the political dialogue.
K.Tokayev also expressed condolences to the Brazilian people, bereaved families and injured as a result of flood in the country.
