Senate ratified Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage

ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Senate of the Kazakh Parliament adopted the Law "On ratification of the Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage of 1997 (Consolidated text of the Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage of 21 May 1963 as amended by the Protocol of 12 September 1997)".
"The convention is aimed at establishing standards and criteria for providing financial protection from damage caused by particular nuclear accidents", Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Duissenbay Turganov said presenting the bill.
