Senate ratified Kazakhstan-Italy strategic partnership agreement

ASTANA. March 31. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Senate of the Kazakhstan Parliament adopted the Law "On ratification of the agreement on strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Italy".
This agreement was concluded on November 5, 2009 during the official visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Rome at the initiative of Kazakhstan under the state program "Path to Europe". The document was signed by Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev and Foreign Minister of Italy Franco Frattini.
The level of economic and political partnership between Kazakhstan and Italy is very high. Italy backs all main foreign policy initiatives of Kazakhstan, including the presidency over the OSCE in 2010.
