Senate ratified Convention on security in handling with spent fuel

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Senate of the Kazakh Parliament has ratified the Conjoint Convention on security in handling with spent fuel and with radioactive wastes today at the plenary session.
"The Convention is aimed at support of the high-level security in handling with spent fuel and radioactive wastes worldwide, as well as to provide efficient protection means from potential danger in handling with spent fuel and radioactive wastes"; the Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Asset Magauov said in his report.
