Senate considers amendments to corruption acts

ASTANA. September 16. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Draft Law 'On amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on the issues of further fight against corruption' has been considered today at the plenary session of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Agency on Fighting with Economic and Corruption Crimes Andrey Lukin the draft law is aimed at development of legislation in strengthening of fight against corruption, removal of disadvantages in legislative acts and gaps in regulation promoting corruption offences.

The draft law also provides amendments into the Criminal, Criminal-Procedural, Customs and other Codes of Kazakhstan.

The draft law was approved in the first reading.
