Senate approves first reading of draft Administrative Code
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Senate of Kazakhstan Parliament at the plenary session has approved the first reading of the draft Code of Administrative Offences.
According to Berik Imashev, the Minister of justice, the main directions of the administrative law reform include humanization; establishment of the absolute size of a fine in order to avoid corruptogenic factors; and revision of the competence of the bodies authorized to consider cases on administrative offenses. Moreover, Berik Imashev noted that the draft revised scope of individuals, subject to administrative penalty as officials. In accordance with the effective Code individual entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs, legal persons performing managerial or administrative functions, as well as leaders of legal persons shall be liable as officials. Minister also stressed that the draft Administrative Code introduced new formulations of offenses in connection with labor rights protection.
