Seminar on state-private partnership opens in Astana

ASTANA. June 17. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Two-day seminar on state-private partnership has been opened in Astana. The seminar is held with the realization of the program if the Asian Development Bank ?Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation? (CAREC).

As earlier reported the seminar, organized in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, started its work on June 15 in Bishkek and will be accomplished on June 22 in Ulan-Bator. During this period Professor of the Oslo University Ole Steen-Olsen will lecture on the issues of introduction and realization of the modern methods of state-private partnership. Representatives of Kazakh Ministries and departments, Akimats, experts of a range of national scientific-research institutes take part in the seminar. As O.Steen-Olsen noted, the state-private partnership is used in the infrastructural sectors of many countries. According to him, the state-private partnership as a method of mobilization of additional financial resources is used in the electric generation, telecommunications, transportation, oil-and-gas industry and tourism.
