SCO Sec-Gen appreciates Kazakhstan's readiness to strengthen the organization

KAZINFORM "Kazakh President's State-of-the-Nation Address of 2011 differs from his previous messages to the nation since this time Nursultan Nazarbayev sums up the results of Kazakhstan's development for 20 years of independence and outlines the perspective development program," says Muratbek Imanaliyev, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
"The President's message based on the common values of Kazakhstan-2030 Strategy, current realities and strategic prospects without exaggeration marks a new milestone in the country's development.
It is very important that in his message the President sets specific goals on further economic and social modernization. I believe that implementation of these plans fully corresponds to the mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on formation of economically and politically stable space," the Secretary General emphasized.
In this context he stressed the significance of Kazakhstan's readiness to exert every effort to strengthen the SCO. Kazakhstan took over the SCO chairmanship in the year of the organization's jubilee. In June 2011 Astana will host a summit devoted to the 10th anniversary of the SCO.
M. Imanaliyev expressed confidence that Kazakhstan, as SCO Chair, would enhance the organization and promote consistent development of the region. He wished successful implementation of all plans on Kazakhstan's modernization.
