SCO priorities during Kazakh chairmanship discussed in Beijing - MFA
ASTANA. July 3. KAZINFORM Within the framework of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the SCO Kazakh Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurlan Yermekbayev and Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping have held ministerial consultations in Beijing on July 2-3, 2010; the Kazakh MFA's press service informs.
The sides discussed the main SCO priorities during the Kazakh presidency and the SCO2010-2011Action Plan initiated by Kazakhstan which determines key directions and events of the SCO in various spheres of its activity.
The negotiations are continuation of a cycle of consultations held by the Kazakh side with the Organization's member states. The first meeting was carried out in Moscow on June 25-26. It is planned to hold similar consultations with Central Asian partners - Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Moreover, N.Yermekbayev held a meeting with SCO Secretary General Muratbek Imanaliev. The issues regarding the Organization's activity during Kazakhstan's chairmanship and preparation for holding a jubilee summit dedicated to 10th anniversary of the SCO establishment.
