SCO, CSTO and CIS discuss fight with terrorism in Tashkent
TASHKENT. April 13. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ A two-day international conference on anti-terrorism measures in SCO and CIS countries has kicked off in Tashkent today.
The event is organized by the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) and the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center.
"The conference is notable for the fact that it is being held in the jubilee year of the SCO and that it allows to discuss the most urgent problems of fighting with terrorism, extremism and separatism, to exchange opinions on tendencies and forms of activity of such organizations at the modern stage", the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS says.
Delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine as well as the representatives of the CSTO, CICA, CIS Council of the Border Troops Commanders, the Bureau for coordinating fight with organized crime, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the CIS Anti-Terrorist Centre, the SCO RATS Executive Committee are taking part in the conference.
