SCO Council of Heads of Government considers setting up Development Bank
TASHKENT. November 29. KAZINFORM Today, the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will consider the establishment of the Development Bank, Shakhrat Nuryshev, Kazakhstan National Coordinator on the SCO activity, special envoy of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Primeminister.kz.
"One of the issues on agenda will be the establishment of the Development Bank. In 2011, SCO member states signed the agreement in principle for the opening of the Development Bank. At the same time to create the bank it is necessary to determine its financial model or what will be the form of contributions from members of the SCO: assessed or voluntary," he said.
Nuryshev praised the results of activities of the working group and noted that "there are positive changes in organizational issues."
Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will attend the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
