Scientific-diplomatic dialogue strengthens international cooperation in Astana
The Institute of Economic Research in Astana hosted a Scientific and Diplomatic Dialogue, organized jointly with the Benelux Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the support of the Honorary Consuls of companies in Kazakhstan. The event served as a platform for establishing dialogue between the scientific and diplomatic communities, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
The institute's primary orientations were detailed by Adil Kusmanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board, who emphasized the influence of these efforts on the socio-economic growth of the country. Resources intended to facilitate the distribution of analytical materials were offered by scientific consultants Dolores Tyulebekova and Aishabi Nygmet.
The Chairman of the Institute of Economic Research, Mr. Ruslan Sultanov, emphasized the Institute's considerable economic potential in the field of analytics and research by showcasing a collection of English-language publications that cover analytical, statistical, and forecasting aspects and is regularly updated.
The General Director of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anuar Kurzhikaev, emphasized the strategic partnership between the chamber and the Institute of Economic Research.
“We use this institute to conduct such important events. Today we held the first scientific and diplomatic exchange, during which the institute presented its media resources,” he said in an interview with Kazinform News Agency.
Kurzhikaev emphasized the importance of providing diplomats with high-quality information in English on key areas of the economy of Kazakhstan. He expressed satisfaction that diplomats now have access to the Telegram channel and news feed, updates of which are scheduled for a month. During the event, diplomats also provided feedback on preferred types of information, expert opinions and statistics.
The event was attended by representatives of 11 embassies, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Ukraine, Bulgaria, India, Malaysia, Iraq, Israel and Nigeria. The dialogue concluded with a discussion of potential areas of cooperation, highlighting plans to organize similar meetings on a quarterly basis.
