Schoolgirl, 15, honoured for saving child from house fire

Zeinep Kabylbekov, 15, from Leninsky rural area of Pavlodar, has received a letter of thanks of the Emergency Committee under the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Moreover, she was awarded with an iPad. The brave girl rescued a 4-year-old boy from a burning apartment. Recall that the incident took place on February 20 this year in Leninsky rural area. Zeinep was walking from school when she noticed clouds of smoke coming out from a neighboring house. Without hesitation she called firefighting service. Then she tried to open the entrance door of the house. It was closed and she heard that somebody was inside. Fortunately the girl managed to open the door and save the boy. Later, the boy was hospitalized with a diagnosis "carbon monoxide poisoning". Head of Firefighting service of Pavlodar region Colonel Askar Albekov noted that professional and competent actions of the schoolgirls helped to save the child from death.
