Saudi Development Fund to donate medical equipment to Kyrgyzstan
The Ministry of Health and the Saudi Development Fund today signed a contract for the supply of medical equipment during a meeting between Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and representatives of the SDF, headed by Director of Operations for Central and West Asia, Mohammed Almasud, KABAR reports.
The medical equipment will be provided within the framework of the grant project “Provision of equipment for medical centers and the construction and equipping of a quarantine zone,” and equip 4 health care organizations: Tyup Central Medical Center, Kara-Kuldzha Central Medical Center, National Center for Phthisiology and Scientific Research Institute of Surgery heart and organ transplantation.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy, Chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Vinera Raimbachaeva.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed the progress of the project “Reconstruction and expansion of the state children's emergency hospital in Bishkek” and the implementation of a new project for the construction of a new building at the Sokuluk General Medical Practice Center.
The minister expressed gratitude to the Saudi Development Fund for its contribution to the development of the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan.
“Cooperation with the Saudi Development Fund is of particular importance to us. Since the beginning of the project to build a children's hospital, a lot of work has been done and today, through joint efforts, construction continues according to schedule. We hope that the new project will also be successfully implemented in the coming years, and a new building will appear in the Sokuluk Central Educational Institution,” Beishenaliev said.
