Saudi Arabia confident in Kazakhstan's successful chairmanship in OIC in 2011
ASTANA. August 13. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has met today with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kazakhstan Hisham Abdel Vahab Zara upon termination of his diplomatic mission in our country.
Having congratulated each other on beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the parties expressed satisfaction with a high level of cooperation between two states which develops fruitfully in economic and cultural spheres and in a multilateral format.
"Kazakhstan lays great emphasis on deepening friendly relations and multi-vector ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Today Riyadh is an important partner of Astana on the international arena and in the Middle East", K. Tokayev said.
Hisham Abdel Vahab Zara highly appraised economic and foreign policy achievements of Kazakhstan, its growing role on the world arena and expressed confidence in successful chairmanship of our country in the OIC in 2011. The Ambassador extended an invitation from the Chairman of the Majlis al-Shura (Consultative Council) to K. Tokayev to pay an official visit to Riyadh.
Upon completion of the meeting K. Tokayev thanked the Saudi Diplomat for his personal contribution to development of the Kazakh-Saudi bilateral cooperation and wished him success.
