Saudabayev chaired session of Commission on Awarding State Prize in Science and Engineering
ASTANA. June 14. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ A regular session of the Commission for Awarding State Prize in Science and Engineering chaired by Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev has taken place in Astana today.
The meeting considered the recommendations and conclusions of the thematic sections of the state scientific and technical expertise on the works submitted for the awards.
Opening the meeting Kanat Saudabayev noted that the selection of nominees in the year of the 20th anniversary of independence of the country imposes special responsibilities on the commission.
According to him, the selection criteria are simple and specific: each work, claiming the high reward should be a breakthrough in domestic science and should become a major contribution to scientific and technological development of the state.
