Saudabayev and Spindelegger discussed Kazakh-Austrian coop over phone
ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has talked over phone with Michael Spindelegger, Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA's press service.
Mr. Spindelegger praised Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE and pointed out its main results - Summit in Astana and adoption of OSCE declaration.
Talking about the topical issues and prospects of development of Kazakh-Austrian cooperation the sides emphasized that Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev's talks with his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer in Astana in December 2010 added a powerful impulse to the entire complex of relations between the states.
K. Saudabayev and M. Spindelegger confirmed their intention to expand cooperation and noted the necessity to activate interdepartmental interaction. The sides agreed to organize an official visit of Mr. Spindelegger to Kazakhstan in May 2011.
