Satellites for remote earth sounding installed in National Space Centre
ASTANA. August 20. KAZINFORM - In the framework of the construction of National Space Centre (NSC) there is carried out work on creation of ground-based space infrastructure system for remote earth sounding (SS ES).
It bears to remind that SS ES is a joint Kazakh-French project which is to be implemented by "National Company" Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary " and the French company called ''Astrium'' within EADS, the largest European group.
Kazakhstan's system of remote sensing involves manufacturing and launching of two earth sounding satellites with high and medium spatial resolution and construction of ground control satellite remote sensing and ground-target complex.
Complex antenna system equipment was produced in France and installed in Kazakhstan by Zodiac Data Systems specialists.
Commissioning of the first Kazakh satellite for remote earth sounding is scheduled for the first half of 2014.
