«Saryarka» Karaganda hockey club inks contract with Canadian defenseman Alain Goulet
KARAGANDA. July 10. KAZINFORM — "Sary-Arka" Karaganda hockey club has signed a contract with a 24-year-old defenseman Alain Goulet (Alain Martin Goulet) from Canada, the press service of the club informs.
"Sary-Arka" hockey club - the winner of tregular season Major Hockey League in 2012-13, has endirsed a contract with the Canadian defender Alain Goulet", the statement said.
In the previous season Alain Goulet played for ECHL Alaska Aces and Orlando Solar Bears clubs, having conducted 59 matches and scored 15 (3 +12) points on the "goal + pass" system.
Alain Goulet (born September 22, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for the Reading Royals in the ECHL . He was selected by the Boston Bruins in the 6th round (159th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft .
After being drafted by the Boston Bruins, Goulet joined the Mavericks from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he played a season and a half before joining the Gatineau Olympiques in order to finish the 2008-09 season. He turned professional by joining the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League in 2009-10.
