Sarkozy noted Kazakhstan's contribution to peace and accord

ANA. October 6. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ French President Nicolas Sarkozy has noted Kazakhstan's contribution to the issues of peace and accord at the press conference in Astana today.
"Kazakhstan possessed a lot of nuclear weapons, but several years ago the country decided to abandon all types of nuclear weapon. It was a good option and I would be happy if the other states of this region make the same decision", Mr. Sarkozy noted.
He emphasized that it is very important to respect religious minorities as Kazakhstan does.
