Samsung Electronics voted as favorite place to work: survey
SEOUL. February 22. KAZINFORM Samsung Electronics Co., the world' s top memory chip maker, was picked as the most preferred place to work for by local college students for the seventh straight year, a survey showed Monday, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
In a survey conducted by South Korea's online job portal Incruit, 14.5 percent of the total 1,059 respondents picked Samsung Electronics as their favorite place to work for post- graduation, as 31 percent of those who selected Samsung cited reasons based on the company's sufficient salary and fair reward system.
The second choice was Kookmin Bank, South Korea's top lender, garnering 6.1 percent of the total votes, followed by CJ Cheil Jaedang Corp., a local food distributor, and the country's top Internet portal, NHN Corp., with 6 percent and 4.2 percent respectively, according to the survey.
Also ranked in the top 10 most favored companies by South Korean college students include Korean Air Lines Co., the country' s top airline, SK Telecom Co., its largest mobile carrier, and POSCO, its biggest steelmaker, the survey showed, Kazinform cites Xinhua.
