Samruk-Kazyna transferred 2,5 trillion tenge to national budget since 2011 - President
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Transformation of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund will define the future development of Kazakhstan, believes President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He has voiced his opinion at the forum on the fund's transformation at the Nazarbayev Center in the Kazakh capital today.
"The fund has the largest assets of the country under its umbrella: railways, oil and gas resources, transportation, telecommunications, energy, nuclear industry, international airlines flying to 19 countries of the world, etc. This is what Samruk-Kazyna is. Its total assets amount to half of Kazakhstan's GDP. Over the past 3 years the fund has transferred over 2,5 trillion tenge to the national budget," President Nazarbayev said. The Head of State also noted that Samruk-Kazyna NWF is one of the largest employers in the country with nearly 350,000 employees countrywide.
