Samruk-Green Energy and KD Stahl- und Maschinenbau in joint venture producing wind power plants

ASTANA. April 12. KAZINFORM - In Berlin, April 10, «Samruk-Green Energy» LLP (100% subsidiary of "Samruk-Energo " JSC) and the German company KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH have signed a framework agreement to establish a joint enterprize producing low capacity wind power plants.

The signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Republic of Germany, with the participation of Ambassador Nurlan Onzhanov.

It bears to remind that Astana has hosted a meeting on November 1, 2012 involving «Samruk-Green Energy» LLP (100% subsidiary of "Samruk-Energo" JSC) and KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH. The parties discussed the possibility for creation of an associated undertaking in the field of renewable energy sources, i.e. construction of plant for production of low capacity wind electric power plants in free economic zone called "Innovation Park", where the memorandum of cooperation had been signed.

The purpose of the project is initially building small wind turbines, and subsequently, the localization of wind turbines component parts production in Kazakhstan.

«Samruk-Green Energy» LLP was established in January 25, 2012 and has been 100% subsidiary of "Samruk-Energo" JSC which is included in the structure of "National Welfare Fund" Samruk-Kazyna "JSC. The principal activity is producing energy from renewable energy sources.
