Samarkand International Airport has served over a million passengers since the beginning of the year

The positive growth in passenger traffic is due to an increase in the number of flights of existing carriers, the attraction of new partners, and the constant improvement of the range of services.

The most noticeable increase in passenger traffic is observed in international destinations. Flights to Moscow, Istanbul, Saint Petersburg, Abu Dhabi, and Jeddah have become especially popular, with 780,000 passengers served in nine months – 11 percent more than in the same period last year.

49 thousand passengers were delivered to their destination on domestic airlines in 9 months.

Samarkand International Airport continues to expand its route network. Currently, flights from Samarkand operate on 2 domestic and 24 international routes. Of these, destinations to Xi'an, Turkestan, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod and Irkutsk were opened for the first time.

Air Marakanda focuses on key strategic areas such as compliance with international aviation safety standards, implementation of environmental protection measures, modernization of airport infrastructure, and improvement of passenger service quality.

It is worth reminding that Seoul hosted the Uzbekistan – South Korean Tourism Forum.
