Sales between Kazakhstan and England reached USD 650mln in 1H
ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain grew for the first six months to reach USD 650 mln," Investments and Development Minister of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said.
"Despite the economic crisis and aggravation of the world economic situation the sales slightly increased, by 6% against the last year," he told the 1st Kazakh-British intergovernmental commission for trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation underway in Astana. According to him, Great Britain ranks among the top three main investors of Kazakhstan. "We believe that the Kazakh-British relations have embarked on a new level of strategic partnership. Great Britain invested above USD 10 bln since 2005 while the volume of Kazakh investments into Great Britain made more than USD 3,5 bln for the same period," he added.
