S Kazakhstan to produce slate and corrugated cardboard

SHYMKENT. KAZINFORM - Two plants have been launched in South Kazakhstan region.

The plants will produce slate and corrugated cardboard. Slate plant of "Tectum Engineering" LLP was launched in the framework of the state program "Business Road Map - 2020". It is located in the industrial zone "Ontustyk". The cost of the project amounted to 1.2 billion tenge. At the present time slate is imported from the Russian cities of Volgograd, Novosibirsk, and Krasnoyarsk.

Plant for the production of corrugated board started operation in the special economic zone "Ontustyk". The project worth 650 million tenge was launched in the framework of the Industrialization Map of FIID. The plant has employed 56 people. The factory's capacity is 10 million square meters of corrugated board per year. The production line is fully automated and capable of producing three-layer and five-layer corrugated cardboard.
