S Kazakhstan launches new hydroelectric plant

SHYMKENT. KAZINFORM A new KZT 2 mln hydroelectric power plant was put on stream at the Saryagash district, South Kazakhstan.
It was built under the State Advanced Industrial and Innovation Development Programme of Kazakhstan.
The power station produces 2 MWh. It is planned to build another six power plants to provide affordable electricity services to 80% of the rural population numbered about 300,000.
