Kazakhstan's Rybakina reaches WTA 1000 Cincinnati quarterfinal

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina has confidently defeated Russia's Diana Shnaider to advance to the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the National Olympic Committee.
World No 2 Rybakina won her Round of 16 match in straight sets, scoring 6:4, 6:4, and will now compete for a spot in the semifinal.
In the quarterfinal, she is set to face Poland’s Iga Świątek.
Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan's Sonja Zhienbayeva claimed the first W75 Ourense Tournament 2026 title of her career, triumphing in the final in Ourense, Spain.
