Russian PM: Moscow ready to intensify co-op with Astana within EEU
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Russia is ready to intensify cooperation with Kazakhstan within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), this has been said by Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
Monday Mr.Medvedev congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on his reelection as President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, RIA Novosti reported. "We appreciate your great contribution to the strengthening of friendship, good neighborliness and partnership uniting Russia and Kazakhstan, the implementation of large-scale economic projects in different areas. We are ready to intensify cooperation with Kazakhstani partners in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union opening new opportunities for enhanced cooperation ties," noted Prime Minister of Russia in the congratulatory telegram.
Dmitry Medvedev also stressed that Nursultan Nazarbayev's convincing victory in the elections confirmed that his strategic policy is based on the broad support of the people of Kazakhstan. "I am confident that under your leadership the republic will continue its successful progress on the path of socio-economic development improving welfare of citizens," the telegram reads.
